Téka Marie, is the founder for PDX Fashion Network and Production Director of Chance Fashion Portland Division. PDX Fashion Network is an event for industry professionals to get together and network. This year's event was held in Hillsboro, Oregon. It's featured entertainment was a fashion show and singers. Aside from providing entertainment the show helped to support local designers and models.
Deciding to make this a charity event benefiting Susan G Komen seemed most fitting since the event takes place in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer has touched the lives of many people we all know and love. 100% of the monies raised from the ticket sales and silent auction was donated to SGK. This year $2,400 was raised. It was a great start. Teka Marie and all those who contributed felt blessed that they were able to give so much. This was a strong event. Teka and PDX Fashion Network already have things in the works for October 2017.
